Welcome to the Assistant Principal’s Corner --- the web page of Selina Martino Garcia.
I will begin by telling you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Palacios and a graduate of Palacios High School. I graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master in Curriculum & Instruction, and a Master in Administration & Supervision. My experience includes working as a special education teacher at Central Elementary for 3 years, working as an educational diagnostician for Matagorda County Education Services for 5 years, and this is my second year back at Central as assistant principal. I am married to Kenneth Garcia and we have a freshman son, Ken, at Texas Lutheran University and a freshman daughter, Victoria Rose, at PHS.
Upon accepting this position, I was quite nervous about the details this new undertaking would entail. After a year and a half on the job, I must tell you that I LOVE MY JOB! The staff at Central works so hard to provide a positive learning atmosphere. The students at Central are phenomenal and I enjoy working with the families as well.
