Services Provided to your child:

Individual Counseling:

There are many things that can impact a child's success at school: problems with friends, anger, lack of responsibility, death or divorce in the family, etc.  The counselor's role is to help the student develop strategies that will help him/her resolve problems.

Students may be referred by teachers, parents, or a student may make a self referral.  Individual counseling takes place during a time when class work will be impacted the least.

Classroom Guidance:

At least one time each six weeks, Mrs. Kacer will go into each classroom to teach lessons that help all students develop basic life skills.  Some of the topics include friendship, anti-bullying behavior, conflict resolution, empathy, feelings, and skills such as cooperation, effort, courage, and perseverance.

Important Information:
  •  Pre-K parents:  The doors near the Pre-K classrooms are locked at 7:45 for the morning classes and 11:45 for the afternoon classes.  Once the doors are locked, the student is tardy and must go to the front office for a tardy slip.
  • All Visitors:  When visiting our campus, please check in through the front office with a picture ID.  The picture ID is required with every visit.
  • Parents: Please send an absence excuse on the day of your child's return to school.  The excuse should include your child's first and last name, the date(s) of absence(s), and the teacher's name.
  • Parents:  Bus students must have a written note from the parents for each day they are not riding the bus.

Box Tops for Education

Please support Central Elementary School with Box Tops for Education!  Students who collect 25 or more box tops will be eligible to attend the Central Elementary carnival in May.  Additional Box Tops (over the 25 minimum) can be used to purchase additional goodies or activities!  Parents: if you visit online at Box Tops for Education and sign up to support Central Elementary, we will earn extra points.  All earnings from this program are used to support programs at Central Elementary that benefit our students.  There are forms available in the office that are used for collecting Box Tops.  Thank you for your support!

IMPORTANT:  When attaching the Box Tops to the Box Top form, please be sure the Box Top expiration date is visible and that it is not cut off. If the expiration date is missing, the Box Top is not usable.
