Hello,  This is Patrick Talbert the assistant principal at Palacios Jr. High.  I am excited to let you know that this year we are going to be a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) campus.  This means that your son or daughter may bring their own personal smartphone, Ipad, kindle, or other electronic device to the classroom for educational purposes.  However, this does not mean that you have to go out and purchase an electronic device for your son or daughter if they don't already have one or if they don't want to use their own personal one.  We will still have MLDs or Iphone 4s available for their use during the school day that can be checked out.  We will be sending out an electronic devices policy letter soon that will hopefully answer any questions that you may have about this.  Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

Hello, this is Patrick Talbert Assistant Principal at Palacios Jr. High.  I am calling to let you know that on Friday Sept. 13th, your son or daughter will be bringing home two Shark Cards and a letter explaining the incentives. Sale of these cards is completely optional, if you don't care to participate, please return the cards to the school as soon as possible.

It is our hope that the use of these cards will promote business in and around the city of Palacios. Participating businesses are listed on the back of the card. Our goal this year is to sell 500 of these cards at $10 apiece. All proceeds will benefit our students this school year through incentive rewards and field trips.  Please don't  hesitate to call the Jr. High if you have any questions or need additional cards to sell.  Thanks and have a great weekend.

This is Sherri Seaman, Principal at Palacios high school.  Earlier this morning, we were notified of an incident that occurred away from the HS campus.  The incident did not involve any  student nor did it occur on any school campus.   As a precaution, we asked teachers to keep students in class for a short time and all outside doors were locked.  After about 15 minutes, we were cleared and students were released to resume their regular school day.   Your student's safety is our utmost priority and the actions taken were just a precaution.
