Transportation Services

  • The goal of bus rider safety is to help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for students who ride the school bus.  Parents are responsible for reading and discussing the material with their child.  Riding a school bus is a privilege provided by the school district and should be treated as such.

    CNA(LOCAL) Policy

    The District shall provide transportation to school for all students residing in the District, including students not eligible for state transportation funds.

    However, the District shall not provide transportation from school at the end of the school day for any student not eligible for state transportation funds except as required by law or as addressed in administrative regulations regarding:

    1. Hazardous conditions;
    2. Property and apartments operated/subsidized by the Palacios Housing Authority or the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
    3. Travel between campuses.
