Parent & Family Engagement Policy
Statement of Purpose: Palacios ISD is committed to providing quality education for every student in our district. Palacios ISD believes that it takes a collaborative effort among parents, school and community to ensure the success of every student.
Parents play an important role as the children’s first teachers, and their support for their children and for the school is critical to promote high achievement. Palacios ISD intends to include parents in all aspects of the district’s programs, with the goal of a home-school partnership that will help all students in the district succeed.
Parental Involvement in Developing the Policy: Palacios ISD District Education Improvement Committee (DEIC), consisting of parents, teachers, and community members, meets to develop the school district’s Parent Involvement Policy. The Parent Involvement Policy will be revised annually by the DEIC. It will be updated to reflect the changing needs of students, parents, and the school.
Title I, Part A
The purpose of Title I, A funding is to provide additional resources to schools to ensure that all children are provided a high quality education that will enable them to exceed performance standards. F
All PISD campuses receive Title I, Part A funding.
