Superintendent of Schools Mr. Jason Valentine

Welcome to a new school year in Palacios ISD.  Whether you are a returning family, a new student, a dedicated staff member or a supportive community neighbor, I am very excited to welcome you to a new year. Over the last couple of months, I have enjoyed the many conversations with various stakeholders while learning the “Shark Way.” As the new superintendent, I remain humbled by this opportunity to serve the Palacios students, families and community.  Education requires a team effort to maximize our student opportunities for growth and success. I look forward to our work together and thank you for our ongoing partnership, trust and dedication to the students of Palacios ISD.

 

Jason Valentine graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Studies with a Biology Minor, then earned a Master's Degree in Education in 2000, and an Educational Administration certificate in 2002 - also from Tarleton. Mr. Valentine and his wife Carrie have been married for 27 years and have two daughters, Claire, a fourth year student at Tarleton and Josie, who is currently a tenth grade student. He is in his 29th year in education, with 21 of those years in administration at the campus and district level. Carrie has been teaching for 20 years at the elementary school level.
