Superintendent of Schools Mr. Jason Valentine

 

On May 5, 2026 the Palacios ISD Board of Trustees took action to hire Mr. Jason Valentine as the Superintendent of Schools after complying with the Texas Education Code waiting period of 21 days. The Palacios ISD School Board was excited to hire Mr. Valentine and stated, " We look forward to Mr. Valentine formally joining the Palacios Sharks."

 

Mr. Jason Valentine graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Studies with a Biology Minor, then earned a Master's Degree in Education in 2000, and an Educational Administration certificate in 2002 - also from Tarleton. Mr. Valentine and his wife Carrie, have two daughters, Claire, a third-year student at Tarleton, and Josie, who is currently a ninth-grade student. He is in his 28th year in education, with 20 of those years in administration at the campus and district levels.

I’ve long been connected to Palacios ISD - competing in athletic and band events while attending school in Needville, and visiting family in the Palacios community. I’m excited to meet everyone, learn more about this great community, and get started working together.”
